Sugar Loaf

Perhaps the most classic mountain in Rio de Janeiro! Located in the heart of the South Zone of the city and due to the ease of access, Urca contemplates several climbs, with the Sugar Loaf being the most coveted of them!

The ascent of Sugarloaf Mountain can be done in different ways and of all levels of difficulty.

There are routes for beginners and for the more experienced. Rest assured that we will take you to a climb that is at your level and as safely as possible. Our guides are experienced professionals and know the mountain very well. You can be sure that you will have an unforgettable day.

We'll bring all the necessary equipment if you don't have it.

Time and Experience Level Required: 

2 to 3 Hours - Costão - Beginner

3 to 4 Hours - Via CEPI - Intermediate

3 to 4 Hours - Via Joker - Intermediate

4 to 5 Hours – Via dos Italianos - Intermediate

This activity depends on favorable weather conditions and in case of bad weather it will be rescheduled;

Transfer not included;

What to take:

- Appropriate clothing for the activity that does not limit movement;

- Footwear suitable for hiking;

- Backpack suitable for activity;

- Water and food;

- Sunscreen and repellent;

- Raincoat (Anorak);

- Head lamp;
